Instagram Engagement For Growth
You can easily grow your Instagram page without any money spent, simply by engagement! I grew my real estate Instagram page by 3000+ followers within 2 months, all organic, no money spent. How? I just dedicated every day to engaging with folks in my local market. Let's take a look at how it's done:
STEP 1:
For starters, make sure your Instagram page is set-up correctly. You'll want a professional profile photo, your bio filled out with a link to a landing page, and at least 6 to 9 photos already published onto your feed. These photos need to be reflective of the content you are going to continuously publish, and a consistent theme to the photos. You can find more information about setting up an effective Instagram feed in the branding modules of your subscription.
STEP 2:
For the next step, you'll want to go to your search section of your Instagram account, and select the "Places" tab. Then write out the city you work in. It'll show a bunch of photos of people that live and post in the area. Search by any and every city you will sell properties in. I don't recommend looking it up by the search tab, it's important that you look it up by the places tab, or you'll get a lot spammy posts come up. It'll look like the image below:
STEP 3:
Skip past the top posts and go straight to the most recent photos. Click on the first photo and it'll pull it up bigger. If you continue to scroll down, it'll show all of the following posts as well. This is where the engagement begins. Starting on the very first post, double tap it to "heart" it.
STEP 4:
Do this up to 50 images. Of course skip any odd ones that are inappropriate that come up. (Which may happen, depending on your area.) Do not do it for more than 50 images. Doing 50 should take about 2-4 minutes. You want to do this 4 times a day at intervals of 50. So a total of 200. You don't want to do this all at once, or your page can be frozen by Instagram. Space it out a few hours in between. Each time you go to do it, don't pick up where you left off, just refresh the page, and start off again by the most recent posts.
STEP 5:
At a separate time from the liking aspect, I want you to comment on a total of 50 photos per day. You can spread these out throughout the day. Nothing huge, but more than one worded statements. Engage and tell the local member what you like about their photo.
How Does This All Work?
This is, by far, one of the best ways to grow your followers on a daily basis. It's simple, the growth is in the engagement. If you have a nice layout on your page, by consistently interacting with a lot of members in your local community, you allow them to have interest in you. They will go to your page, check it out, and if your content is interesting (this is why your page needs to be set up perfectly) they will start to follow you. By growing your followers, your grow your sphere, which leads to more business. Do this method Monday through Friday, every single day, if you want to see drastic growth. I did this 7 days a week and that's how I got to 3000+ followers in right under 2 months. And out of these followers, I had 3 working clients in that short amount of time.
This may seem like a daunting task, but it's actually really easy. You just have to remember to keep up with it. Each time you engage, liking about 50 photos at a time, it literally takes a matter of minutes. You can do this standing in line, waiting for a client, at a dead open house, etc. Really easy to do, and the growth occurs in the consistency of doing so.
BUT! And this is an important but, this will not have a strong return rate on your time invested if your page is not beautifully set up. So be sure to review how to get that set-up on the branding modules before you get started. You don't want to invest all of this time, only to see little to no results.
